Company Receives “Sewerage for Circulating Systems” Prize, a Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award

Nihon Suido Consultants Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce that it has received the FY2025 (18th Annual) “Sewerage for Circulating Systems” Prize in the Public Relations and Education Category. The Company shares the honor, which is a Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award of Japan, with partners Salesian International School Setagaya; io Co., Ltd.; and Saticine Medical Co., Ltd.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism annually recognizes outstanding initiatives that promote healthy water cycles and resource/energy recycling through the “Sewerage for Circulating Systems” Prize.

Public Relations and Education Category winner: 
“From Circulation-grown to Cosmetics: The Lavender Project”

This project was launched based on a student-created public relations concept based on creating cosmetics from circulation-grown products.

Here “circulation-grown” refers to ingredients cultivated using sewerage-derived resources.

Key initiatives

  • Cultivation of lavender using fertilizer derived from sewage sludge
  • Analysis of fragrance components and other elements in the harvested lavender
  • Planning and development of a hand cream using lavender petals
  • Promotion and sale of the hand cream
