Nihon Suido Consultants Certified as an FY2025 Water Cycle ACTIVE Company by Japan’s Cabinet Secretariat

Nihon Suido Consultants Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: NAKANISHI Shinji) is pleased to announce that it has once again been certified under the Water Cycle Company Registration/Certification Program (in the Human Resources & Funding category), which is administered by the Headquarters for Water Cycle Policy of the Cabinet Secretariat, this time for FY2025.

Established in July 2024, the program seeks to promote public awareness (which it terms “visualization”) of companies that are engaged or interested in initiatives that contribute to the water cycle, thereby encouraging broader corporate participation and fostering a society that collectively supports sustainable water circulation. Certification consists of two categories: the Water Quantity & Quality category, which recognizes initiatives that directly contribute to water quantity and water quality, and the Human Resources & Funding category, which recognizes initiatives that contribute to the water cycle through human resources, financial support, equipment, and other means. Nihon Suido Consultants has been certified in the Human Resources & Funding category for initiatives undertaken to support the water cycle through personnel and financial contributions.

Our initiative: The Aoshita-no-Mori Project

The Aoshita-no-Mori Project is a collaborative effort between the private sector and the City of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, to conserve and cultivate the watershed forest in the Aoshita catchment area in Aoba Ward’s Kumagane district, which supplies some of the city’s drinking water. Since joining the project in 2020, we’ve carried out activities in our designated area, “Nihon Suido Consultants Uruoi-no-Mori,” including tree planting, thinning, and building nesting boxes for birds that inhabit the forest.

We will continue to work to support water cycle conservation, including through our ongoing efforts to protect and enhance water-source recharge areas, and look forward to helping build a prosperous and sustainable future society.
