Junior High School Students Visit Nihon Suido Consultants as Part of Integrated Studies
On December 10, 2025, six second-year students from a junior high school in Saitama Prefecture visited the Head Office of Nihon Suido Consultants Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: NAKANISHI Shinji) as part of their integrated studies class.
The students’ school is offering a unit of study entitled “Sustainable Community Development and Social Progress.” Under the class theme of “How can we improve the living environment of the town we live in?” each group (approximately five to eight students) is conducting research on a sub-theme related to environmental issues, specifically water pollution. Motivated by a desire to learn about the realities of water pollution in rivers and groundwater and its impacts on daily life and ecosystems, the visiting students prepared and submitted five questions in advance.
On the day of the visit, engineers from the River Basin Water Management Division of the Consulting Headquarters responded to the students, providing detailed and thoughtful answers to each of the five questions. Although the presentation materials included technical content, the students listened attentively, took notes, and demonstrated strong enthusiasm for learning.

We believe that providing opportunities for the younger generation who will shape the future to deepen their understanding of water infrastructure, and to learn about its importance, mechanisms, and the challenges it faces, is an important form of social contribution. We will continue to pursue initiatives of this kind and look forward to helping build a prosperous and sustainable future society.
