We are pleased to announce that on May 24, 2024, Nihon Suido Consultants was certified as a supporter under the “Official Supporter System for Watershed Flood Control” established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in cooperation with related ministries and agencies. The certification was granted in recognition of the company’s efforts in disaster relief agreements with regional development bureaus, support for dam pre-discharge, and other activities.

In response to the torrential rains and other severe natural disasters brought about by climate change in recent years, we are developing various projects from the perspective of watershed flood control, including early restoration of damaged facilities and flood control measures that address both external and internal flooding in an integrated manner. In April 2024, a new “Watershed Flood Control Team” was formed in collaboration with the River Division and the Sewerage Division for the purpose of contributing to the watershed flood control project.

We will continue to make efforts to improve the resilience of society as a whole, by raising awareness of such issues and offering solutions through our approach to watershed flood control.
