Nihon Suido Consultants Co., Ltd. held an opening ceremony and started operation of the Nihon Suido Consultants Natori Micro Hydroelectric Power Plant on August 23, 2024 at the site of the Iwasawa Water Distribution Reservoir in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture. The opening ceremony was attended by Natori City Mayor YAMADA Shiro, Director of the Sennan-Senen Regional Waterworks Office of Miyagi Prefecture CHIBA Takahiro, and officials from Mizumusubi Management Miyagi Co., Ltd., Mizumusubi Service Miyagi Ltd., and DK-Power, LTD., all of which were involved in the project.

This project is a voluntary project within the Miyagi Prefecture integrated public-private partnership operation project for water supply, industrial water supply and sewerage, in which we participate, and is viewed as an initiative that will contribute to carbon neutrality as promoted by the Japanese government. This is also the first power generation project for us under the FIT system and, by installing micro-hydro power generation at existing water supply facilities, we will be able to reduce costs and achieve local consumption of locally produced energy.
