Nihon Suido Consultants Is Recognized as a JICA-SDGs Partner
On June 23, 2026, Nihon Suido Consultants Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: NAKANISHI Shinji) was recognized as a JICA-SDGs Partner by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The JICA-SDGs Partner program recognizes companies and organizations that contribute to the sustainable development of developing countries and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in collaboration with JICA. Nihon Suido Consultants received this accolade in recognition of its participation in the Project for Formulation of Water Supply Master Plan in Siem Reap, Cambodia (Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS)), a JICA's Technical Cooperation for Development Planning.
Company initiatives under the project
The city of Siem Reap and its surrounding areas, which comprise an important region of the Kingdom of Cambodia that is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, face a number of pressing challenges, including rapidly growing water demand and insufficient infrastructure as well as deteriorating water source conditions and climate change impacts. Through this project, the company will work with the Siem Reap Water Supply Authority (SRWSA) to prepare a medium- to long-term water supply infrastructure master plan with a target year of 2050 while conducting feasibility studies for priority projects. These initiatives will help expand access to safe drinking water and realize a sustainable water utility. The project will also contribute to achieving SDG 6, “Clean Water and Sanitation”; SDG 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities”; and SDG 13, “Climate Action.”
