Management Strategies

Nihon Suido Consultants’ vision is to become a “Water Impact Company” and to achieve economic growth by solving social issues related to water. For this purpose, we have clarified the direction of our new business structure and formulated a growth strategy.

Direction of Business Structure

Water infrastructure projects in Japan are currently facing many challenges. National and local government finances are becoming more and more stretched against the backdrop of the declining birthrate, aging population, and increasingly severe disasters. In addition, the infrastructure facilities developed in each region during the country’s high-economic growth period are aging and require substantial investment to update them. Furthermore, the aging of local government employees and a shortage of personnel are becoming increasingly critical, and this is also impeding the transfer of skills.
In order to solve such issues surrounding water infrastructure projects, we will actively offer solutions to the “public,” “private,” and “regional” sectors, while deepening our involvement in the water infrastructure business itself and supporting it from a comprehensive and holistic viewpoint.

Growth Strategy

The three pillars of our growth strategy are: public infrastructure (B-to-G business), which remains the same as before; industrial infrastructure (B-to-B business), which we aim to expand in the future; and other new fields.

  • Public infrastructure
We will further explore and step up efforts on existing issues such as national resilience and PPP/PFI.
  • Industrial infrastructure
In particular, we will meet the needs of overseas markets for wastewater regulation reviews and others.
  • New fields
We will expand into new water-based business areas such as small-scale hydroelectric power generation, energy, and agribusiness.
